Three International Lullabies

Three of the most touching lullabies in the world have been lovingly arranged for string quartet. They sound as if they were always meant for two violins, viola, and cello – warm, intimate, and with a quiet, heartwarming beauty. The lullabies come from three cultures: The Ukrainian piece "Ой ходить сон коло вікон" translates to "Oh, Sleep Walks Near the Windows." The "Lakhóta Lullaby" originates from the Lakota Native Americans, and "Спи, младенец мой прекрасный" (Cossack Lullaby) has its roots in the Cossack tradition. Perfect as an encore, for weddings, baptisms, memorial services, or in Advent and Christmas programs, these pieces bring comfort where words fail. Included are three scores and a complete set of parts with carefully marked bowings and fingerings – ready to play for both amateur and professional quartets.
