Richard Strauss

Richard Strauss (1864–1949) was a German composer and conductor, known for his operas and tone poems. Der Rosenkavalier is one of his best-known stage works. The edition for singers is Di rigori armato il seno, the Italian aria from Act I, for voice and piano. It is a short, formal number, set apart from the opera's longer vocal lines.
