Consolations – Piano Works by Felix Reuter
Sheet music and MP3: comfort, warmth, and hope
Three original pieces for solo piano between late Romanticism and New Classic. Melancholy and confidence sit close together — music to listen to, to practise, and to turn to in quiet or difficult hours.
This collection includes the piano sheet music (intermediate level) and the composer’s MP3 recording. Available as single works or as the cycle 3 Consolations – Harmonies of Comfort and Hope.
The series
-
Consolation No. 1 — reflective, with calm passages, more animated lines, and arpeggios (G minor)
-
Consolation No. 2 — Romantic warmth with a lighter touch; a tribute to Rachmaninoff, open to New Classic
-
Consolation No. 3 — spare, warm, hopeful; plenty of space to fade
Who it’s for
Pianists at intermediate level looking for contemporary original works rather than standard repertoire only. And listeners who want quiet solo piano, neo-Romantic colour, and New Classic — for practice, teaching, or still accompaniment.
Not arrangements of well-known pieces, but original compositions by Felix Reuter: clearly written, without a virtuoso pose.
