Description
Description
"Homestead" by Christoph Meier is a calm, open-hearted piece for alto saxophone and piano that sits naturally in Eb major and moves in an easy 4/4. The lines sing without forcing the sound, and the piano part supports you with clear harmony and a steady pulse, so rehearsals stay focused and musical. At about four minutes, it gives enough space to shape phrases and build a little arc without overstaying its welcome. Written for intermediate players, it feels friendly under the fingers and is just as useful for a recital moment as it is for a clean run-through in rehearsal. An edition you can rely on.
